Education has taught us that the subject can never be the object, the seer can never be the seen.
The observer cannot be the observed.
As far as intellect is concerned, it is an absurd statement, meaningless – not only meaningless, but insane.
The intellectual approach towards reality is that of division: the knower and the known must be separate.
Only then is there a possibility of knowledge between the two.
The scientist cannot become science, the scientist has to remain separate from what he is doing.
The experimenter is not allowed to become the experiment itself.
As far as intellect is concerned, logic is concerned, it looks absolutely valid.
Yet there exists a knowledge that ventures beyond the understanding of the intellect and is beyond the reaches of science.
In the famous double-slit experiment in Physics, single particles, such as photons, pass one at a time through a screen containing two slits.
In the experiments, the decision to observe the photons is made only after they have been emitted, thereby testing the possible effects of the observer.
It was found that when a quantum “observer” is watching Quantum mechanics states that PARTICLES can ALSO behave as WAVES.
In other words, when under OBSERVATION, electrons are being “forced” to behave like particles and not like waves.
Therefore the MERE ACT OF OBSERVATION can completely alter the outcome of an event.
Reality is what YOU make it.
